What to Expect:
We invite you to our Sunday Worship Celebrations. Our doors open to the public at 10:30 am, as people gather in the lobby for informal conversation, pick up a Weekly Bulletin, or browse our beautiful Bookstore.
At 10:45 am, we offer music for Silent Meditation in the Sanctuary. All are welcome to come in and let the music transport you.
Our Service of Celebration begins at 11 am. During the Service, we sing songs of joy and spirit, welcome newcomers, share announcements about church activities, greet each other with a handshake or a hug, and affirm the Daily Word in English and Spanish. We participate in a Guided Meditation to help us connect more deeply to the power of Spirit, then our Speaker of the day presents an inspiring Lesson on some aspect of how we can apply the empowering Unity principles in our daily lives. We take up a Collection to help support this ministry, then join hands in a Closing Circle, where everyone is welcome to offer Prayer Requests or share Appreciations and Good News. We end by reciting the Prayer of Protection and sing the Peace Song.
After the Service, all are welcome at our Hospitality Hour in the Fellowship Hall downstairs, where we gather to enjoy food and community. Along with coffee, tea, and soft drinks, people bring snacks, main dishes, salads, or desserts. Over food and drink, we get to know each other better. After our meal, we may continue discussing today’s Lesson, or have a special activity or presentation.
From 12 noon to 1:00 pm, you can also browse our Bookstore in the lobby and purchase spiritual books or other inspirational items, or peruse our Media Clearinghouse downstairs for deeply discounted used books and CDs. [Link to “Bookstore” page.]
