In his letter to the Philippians, Paul wrote: Let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

This week we're moving to the theme of Peace on the second Sunday of Advent, and we’re taking a second look at a Bible story mentioned last week – the storm that came up as Jesus and the disciples crossed the sea.

As the windstorm suddenly came up and began sending waves of water into the boat, Jesus slept below. Filled with fear, the disciples awoke Him saying, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?” Jesus arose and rebuked the wind, saying, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.

We possess this same power to still the winds of sudden change and anxiety in our lives and to experience moments of peace at any time. Join us Sunday and invite a friend as we continue our Advent journey in preparation for the arrival of the Christ in us. All are Welcomed!
